Students exposure program
Bamboo workshop:
In collaboration with AuroYali in Auroville, we conducted a Bamboo Workshop for architecture students from Indus University in Ahmedabad. Along with hands-on experience working with bamboo, we arranged visits to different architectural buildings along with the architects of the structure for an interactive session, followed by a heritage walk in the old town of Pondicherry.
The workshop was designed in a way such that students understand basic materiality and joinery details when it comes to working with bamboo. After an initial theory session, the students were given time and freedom to design something with bamboo that they could execute in a limited time frame and take it back with them. The students came up with interesting product and lighting designs.
